Technical Information

Uprights

All uprights are made from cold rolled mild steel. 12 mm square  tubing with minimum wall thickness of 0,9mm is used on the MXM. 16mm square tubing with a minimum wall thickness of 1,2mm is used on D12 and Maxigrills.

External Surface Internal Surface	Benefits: No rivets exposed externally. Low maintenance, easy to wipe clean. Not a dust trap. Stronger, more rigid, greater strength. 'U' channelling can fold easily.

Locks

	Maxidor SLAMLOCK engages and locks automatically, creating an instant barrier, allowing you to escape a potentially dangerous situation.
	The lock does not require any priming.
	Two, two-point (four-point double action) SLAMLOCKS manufactured by Assa Abbloy are used in every MXM door higher than 1050mm.
	Two locks  work independently of each other for added security. Both would have to fail before access could be gained.
	All locks are covered by a lip channel

Top Track
	U channel and U channel with added lip for super secure and friction free movement.

Bottom Track Low Profile 'V'-grooved design with radiused edges made from either high-grade aluminium (MXM) or galvanised mild steel (D12). Benefits:
	Minimises  tripping when walking over the track and allows trolleys, wheelchairs and prams to be pushed over it easily.
	'V'-groove secures dovetail glides into bottom track - they will not pull out on impact, therefore providing genuine four-sided support.
	Nylon dovetail glides allow for height adjustments in reveal without compromising security.
	Corrosion resistant and self-cleaning.

Nylon

All nylon  components, manufactured from Nylon D6, are colour-coded to match all standard colour doors and grills.

Benefits:

	Nylon eliminates corrosion and the friction of metal moving on metal.
	Allows easy, quiet movement.
	Seals uprights from moisture penetration and helps prevent corrosion.
	Colour-coded nylon parts add to the aesthetic appeal.
	Nylon D6 offers:
	High mechanical strength, stiffness, hardness and toughness. Outstanding impact resistance. Good sliding properties. Excellent wear and chemical resistance.
