DESCRIPTION

The Maxidor Transparent MAXISHUTTER™ is constructed from a combination of polycarbonate slats and stainless steel tubes.
Suitable for openings up to 20metres wide.
82% Transparent.
UV Resistance tested for 3 years in direct sunlight with no change in colour/texture/appearance.
Suitable for internal and external usage.
Particularly suited to shop fronts, showrooms, restaurants, domestic windows and doors, partitions in halls and large display enclosures.
Vertical and lateral sliding available.
Vertical - Usually most applications that are straight and have sufficient headroom for canopy that houses the barrel.
Lateral – Applications include curve on plan, unusually large openings and limited headroom space.
Resistant to high impact load.
Flammability resistance to international UL 94-V0 standards.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

Shutter hood – Constructed from a galvanised mild steel sheet and mounted on an angle frame, to improve aesthetics by concealing the barrel.
Fixing and Support – Barrel of adequate diameter complete with supporting axis fitted to ball bearing assemblies attached to end plates. The end plates are mounted to the wall with high impact resistance mounting bolts.
Barrels – Designed specifically to the size and weight of the Roller Shutter curtain.

Hand-operated (not more than 3m x 3m or 100kg max.)
- Chain-operated (from 8m wide to 20 metres wide.)
- Crank-operation (a.k.a. Gear driven with a maximum of 25 square metres.)
- Electrical Operation (recommended for all doors – definitely large doors and frequently used doors.)
Barrel Clips – Every 450mm a barrel clip is connected to the Barrel for added strength.

Guide Rails – The Maxidor Transparent MAXISHUTTER™ slides inside a channel that is mounted against the sides of the reveal. Acoustic seals are added to the guide rails to reduce friction and noise.
Polycarbonate slats – This patented design is formed by injection moulding. The design includes primary vertical and secondary horizontal ribs which are reinforced and prevent scratching and marking between slats when the curtain is coiled around the barrel.

Stainless steel Axis – The Stainless Steel grade SUS316 used to link the polycarbonate slats, is the optimal material required for protection against corrosion while still being strong enough to provide rigidity for roller shutters up to 20m in length.
End Locks and End Stoppers – To strengthen the overall shutter and to ensure a smaller coil (i.e. smaller headroom for the canopy), these unique components link the ends of the slat series, to become an integrated curtain.
Aluminium Bottom Bar – The Bottom Bar strengthens the curtain and allows for the fitment of handles and locking devices. An acoustic and weather seal can be added to the Bottom Bar to reduce friction, noise and increase protection against the elements.
