MAXIDOR SLAMLOCK™:
The lock channel is an L-Channel (38 mm x 50mm). The locks are 50mm lock bodies with 8mm pins. MAXIDOR™ makes the only expandable security barrier with two, two point (FOUR POINT DOUBLE ACTION) Slam Locks. Two locks have to fail before access can be gained through the door. The locks (and mounting screws) are inaccessible because of the design of the lock-pin and lock channels (lock plate, cover lip and profile), which allows no room for a prying tool. (All doors under 1105mm in height have one lock only).
THE MAXIDOR SLAMLOCK™ KEYS:
The keys are placed in an envelope in the factory and sealed. They are handed to the client (or his/her representative) by the installer, to be opened. This limits the possibility of duplicates being made. |
FOUR-SIDED SUPPORT:
Apart from the side fixing found in all security doors,
MAXIDOR is secured in a top and bottom track giving it four-sided support for additional strength.
NO ROOM FOR PRYING TOOLS:
The lock-pin channels and lock channels are designed with a cover lip and "enclosed" profile to allow no room for prying tools and to protect the locks and hide the mounting screws.

The MAXICONODOR expandable metal gate is constructed from square tubing for increased strength. Unlike other designs
(e.g. U-channel), the square tubing does not act as a dust trap but is simple to wipe clean, thus low in maintenance. The
securing uprights are 1837 mm long with telescopically adjustable top and bottom inserts, making the product capable of
securing an opening from 1800mm to 2280mm high.
STYLED FLIGHTS:
Steel "Flights" (scissors-type bracing connectors), join the uprights to each other. The "A" and "O" styles are unique to Maxi Door (registered designs). They are refreshingly different from the plain "X" style used by all other manufacturers, and make the metal gates more aesthetically pleasing. |

EXPANDABLE (RETRACTABLE):
The door folds back neatly to at least 15% of its expanded width (depending on door size) . When you do not need the security
you can simply fold it away to enjoy the view!
TOP TRACK:
A high-grade aluminium, profiled section forms the overhead rail in which the door is conveyed on nylon roller units. The extended legs of the profile serve to prevent tampering and hide the roller units, screening them from dust, dirt and moisture and greatly improving the aesthetics. |

BOTTOM TRACK:
The low profile bottom track prevents tripping and can support a substantial weight passing over it. It has a "V"
design which accepts and secures the "dovetail" guides. It is colour-coated for aesthetics (or to be more
aesthetically pleasing). |

DOVETAIL GUIDES / (TELESCOPICALLY ADJUSTABLE UPRIGHTS):
The tough and robust Nylon guides have high wear resistance properties and are colour-coded to match the door colour. They
are designed to prevent pull-out on impact and to facilitate the easy movement of the door in the track. They further separate
the moving metal parts to avoid the quick corrosion that would otherwise set in (The nylon is not visible from the outside.)

SLIDE BARS:
At the heart of the MAXICONODOR product sits the novel, patented slide bars. The flights are fitted to them and they
move up and down inside the uprights, accommodating the vertical movement of the uprights relative to each other. They are
designed to reduce friction, allowing easy movement of the door without compromising stability. They are colour-matched (and
thus hardly visible) to enhance the appearance of the product. |
